Cannabis worth €144,000 seized in two raids in Donegal

A cannabis growhouse was uncovered in a small village, and €24,000 of the drug was found on the outskirts of the town of Milford.

GARDAÍ IN DONEGAL have seized €144,000 worth of cannabis in separate raids in the county.

150 plants — worth in the region of €120,000 — were uncovered in the search of a house at Leitir, close to the small village of Kilmacrennan.

Later, 1.2 kilos of cannabis herb — worth around €24,000 — was found in a second search, at a house on the outskirts of the nearby town of Milford.

No arrests have been made, and gardaí say both incidents are under investigation.
