Did you see this car lose control and collide with a motorway barrier?

There were four people inside the vehicle.

GARDAÍ ARE LOOKING for witnesses after a car collided with a motorway barrier yesterday.

The four people inside the car were injured during the incident.

Gardaí said that the single-vehicle road traffic collision occurred on the M6 motorway, Westbound at Ballymabilla, Loughrea, County Galway on Saturday 18 April 2015 at approximately 6.20pm.

The car, a red Saab, appeared to lose control while traveling Westbound on the M6 motorway, approximately 2km west of the Cappataggle Toll Plaza.

The car veered across the motorway and collided with the central median barrier.

The four occupants of the car – two women in their mid 60s, and two men in their late 60s – were taken to University College Hospital Galway.

Three of the occupants suffered minor injuries. One of the women was later transferred to the Mater Hospital, Dublin with serious injuries.

Investigating gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who was travelling along the M6 motorway at Ballymabilla between 6.10pm and 6.30pm yesterday to contact them at Loughrea Garda Station on 091 842870, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any garda station.
