Each week, we take an Insta-worthy room in Ireland and show you how you can get the look yourself with high street buys.
This week, Celine Gill’s (@styleatno5) light-filled hallway was our inspiration.
“When we moved in we painted everywhere white and although I have added colour elsewhere in the house, so far the hallway has remained white,” says Celine. “It is lovely and bright in the early morning sun.”
The main goal here was to have a welcoming hallway and have storage for hats, shoes and coats.
“I added the greenery to give a natural feel to the space and some art for interest. The big mirror is great for bouncing light around,” she says.
Sostrene Grene, Ikea and Meadows and Byrne were Celine’s main port of call when fitting out this room. Below are six high-street products that’ll help you get this look in your own home…
1. Aztec throw, €29.50, Home Focus
Add interest to plain pieces of furniture with a patterned throw or cushions, as Celine has done with a black and white throw.
2. Gold mirror, €13, Ikea
Make the most of natural light by using a mirror to reflect it around the space.
3. Wire lamp shade, €17, Oliver Bonas
Celine’s geometric light shade adds a modern touch to her hallway.
4. Rattan plant stand, €22, Argos
Rattan is one of the biggest homeware trends of late, and accessories are an easy way to incorporate it without breaking the bank.
5. Jute rug, €27.99, H&M
Adding a new rug can instantly update a space.
6. Artificial plant, €4.50, JYSK
Celine’s selection of plants add a fresh feel to her hallway – and you can simply opt for artificial ones if you don’t have a green thumb.
