A CHIMPANZEE AT a zoo in Japan made a dramatic break for freedom, climbing an electricity pole and swinging from the wires.
Chacha, a male chimp, screamed at zoo workers as they tried to catch him. They managed to shoot him in the back with a tranquilliser and the footage later shows him dangling sleepily from a wire before falling into a blanket below.
Officials said Chacha only suffered minor bruises in the fall and will be slow for a few days.
