IT’S WELL KNOWN locally for its impressive array of Christmas lights.
The Middleton family in Crosshaven in Cork have been lighting up their home for 18 years to raise funds for charity. Sadly, this year Con Middleton passed away so the festive celebrations were missing their most passionate supporter.
But as Con told The Neil Prendeville Show on Red FM last year, he wanted the tradition to continue long after he had gone – and his wife Mary is keeping up the good work.
Mary told Red FM last week that it’s a seriously popular spot for local children:
They love it. Some of the parents were saying they have to bring the children down every single night. It’s great. Con loved that and loved knowing everybody enjoyed it.
