Council investigating claims clamper told African woman "go back home"
A passer-by who confronted the clamper said she was told to “f*** off”.

DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL has said it is investigating claims that a parking enforcer working on behalf of the local authority told an African woman to “go back home” when she was upset about being clamped.
The council has now asked Dublin Street Parking Services (DSPS) to provide a full report on the incident.
The claims were made by Dubliner Sarah Hanrahan on Twitter, who wrote this afternoon:
Just witnessed a @DubCityCouncil clamper [...] tell an African lady ‘go back home’ when she was upset about being clamped. NOT ok.
The clamper had told her to “fuck off” when she confronted him about his behaviour, Hanrahan said.
“…thank you for letting us now. We’ll report that straight away,” Dublin City Council responded from its official Twitter account.
The incident would be “reported internally as well,” the Council said.
Dublin City Council’s press office told TheJournal.ie this afternoon:
Dublin City Council has not as yet received any complaint in relation to this alleged incident. We have instructed Dublin Street Parking Services (DSPS) to provide a full report on the alleged incident. All official complaints received in relation to Enforcement Operatives are thoroughly investigated and responded to, once the investigation has concluded.
The incident happened in Rathmines, according to Hanrahan.
