Clarkson to fans: You might miss me - but not as much as I'll miss Top Gear

The veteran presenter has been keeping a low profile of late – but he’s back writing for The Sun today.

JEREMY CLARKSON HAS written his first column for The Sun since being dismissed as presenter of Top Gear last month.

“Heartfelt thanks to all those who have written to say how much they will miss me on Top Gear,” he writes.

“It’s not as much, however, as I’ll miss being there.”

He didn’t add anything else about the incident that led to his dismissal.

The BBC announced in March that Clarkson’s contract would not be renewed, after he was first suspended by the broadcaster for “an unprovoked physical and verbal attack” on producer Oisín Tynon.

Both Clarkson and Tynon gave evidence as part of the investigation.

The veteran presenter has been silent on Twitter since – and last week pulled out of a planned guest appearance on Have I Got News For You. He was due to appear on the satirical news quiz next Friday.
