Man in his 30s arrested for the murder of Anna Colomines in Dublin

Colomines suffered fatal stab wounds at an address in Dorset Square in Dublin city centre last month.

GARDAÍ HAVE SAID a 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Anna Colomines, who was found dead at an address in Dublin city centre last month.

Colomines worked for online transaction company Paypal as a senior team leader. It is understood she had lived in Dublin for a number of years.

Gardaí were called to the scene of a flat in Dorset Square at around 11.30pm on 24 October.

When they arrived, they discovered a 37-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man with serious injuries.

Colomines was pronounced dead at the scene and it is understood she suffered stab wounds.

The man was taken to the Mater Hospital at the time and his injuries were described as serious. It is not yet known if this man is the same one arrested by gardaí today.

Gardaí said that the investigation is ongoing, and further updates will follow.
