Have you watched Conclave?

There has been a spike in streams of the political thriller movie over the last week.

DATABASE LUMINATE HAS reported that viewership of the Oscar-nominated film Conclave increased by around 300% in the days following the death of Pope Francis on Easter Monday.

The movie, released in 2024, is a fictional take on the process of appointing a new pontiff, known as a conclave. 

A papal election is expected to take place in May to choose Francis’ successor.
