Five cars involved in accident after 'freak' sleet storm in Cork

Locals reported that cars lost control due to the weather.

FIVE CARS WERE involved in a collision this afternoon on the M8 motorway after a patch of ‘freak’ weather hit Cork.

Gardaí confirmed that though five vehicles were involved in the incident at Junction 17 northbound, no one was injured.

They added that sleet had fallen in the area, leading to issues on the roads.
