Court appearances for those arrested in connection with drug seizures in Dublin and Cavan

THREE OF THE five people arrested in connection with a drug seizures in Dublin and Cavan on Friday will appear in court on Monday whilst another has already appeared in cour t.

Almost 1,000 cannabis plants at various stages of growth were seized by Gardaí at three growhouses in Dublin and Co Cavan as part of Operation Nitrogen, which is investigating an Asian organised crime group

Gardaí say that the two men, aged 27 and 33, and one woman, 28, who were arrested in connection with the seizure of cannabis with a potential value of €200,000 at the Jamestown Industrial Estate in Inchicore will appear at Dublin District Court on Monday morning.

Another male in his 40s arrested at Ballyconnell in Co Cavan has already appeared at a special sitting of Cavan District Court yesterday where he was charged in relation to the seizure of cannabis plants worth an estimated €80,000.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Carrickmacross District Court on 20 April.

As well as this, the man in his late 20s arrested in connection with a separate seizure at the Enterprise Business Park in Clondalkin remains in custody at Ballyfermot garda station.
