Two men die in separate crashes in Leinster

The two incidents took place in different counties this morning.

A MALE MOTORCYCLIST has died in Dublin after he was involved in a crash with a car and a van this morning.

The incident occurred at York Road in Dun Laoghaire at about 11.45am today.

The man was driving a motorcycle which was involved in the crash with a car and a van.

He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital following the incident where he was pronounced dead.

A post mortem is due to take place.

The incident comes after another man in his 50s died in a crash between a car and a truck in Co Kilkenny this morning.

It happened at around 7.30am at Garryduff Cross Road, Paulstown.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver was taken to St. Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny for treatment to non-life threatening injuries, according to gardaí.

A section of the road was closed following the incident.
