Teenage girl hospitalised with serious injuries after being hit by scrambler bike in Dublin

The girl, who was a pedestrian, was brought to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown for treatment.

A TEENAGE GIRL has been hospitalised with injuries “believed to be serious” after she was hit by a scrambler bike in Finglas this afternoon.

The collision occurred at around 2.20pm on the Rathoath Road in Dublin 11.

The girl, who was a pedestrian, was brought to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown for treatment.

A man aged in his late teens and a teenage boy who were travelling on the scrambler are being treated for injuries believed to be non life-threatening. 

“Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are currently conducting a technical examination of the scene and the road remains closed.

“Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them,” a garda spokesperson said.

Any road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage and were in the area between 2.10pm and 2.40pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
