Which of next year's new films are you most excited about?

From Saipan to superheroes, the slate of films for 2026 already looks stacked.

2026 IS ALREADY shaping up to be a standout year for film, particularly from an Irish perspective.

Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley will star in Hamnet, one of the most talked-about literary adaptations in years, while the Irish zeitgeist film Saipan brings one of the country’s most infamous sporting moments to the big screen in January.

Add in returning franchises, epic romances and superhero blockbusters, and the year ahead is packed.
