SENATOR DAVID NORRIS delivered another impassioned speech in the Seanad yesterday during a debate on free speech, homophobia and the public service role of the State broadcaster.

During his two minutes of speaking time, the Dublin politician criticised some of his colleagues, claiming there is homophobia present in the upper house.

Concluding his address, he urged the recipients of the recent RTÉ payout in relation to Rory O’Neill’s interview on the Saturday Night Show to “give the money back”.
