Donald Trump's gold-plated Boeing 757 is parked in Shannon at the moment - want a look inside?

The gold’s on the inside… It probably wouldn’t be safe to encase the outside of a plane in gold-plating.

DONALD TRUMP and family are in Co Clare this week — the US tycoon touched down in his private Boeing 757 early yesterday to check out the west coast golf course he picked up for a bargain price back in February.

If you’re in the area, you can’t miss it. It’s the one with ‘TRUMP’ emblazoned on the side in gold lettering.

The outspoken billionaire bought the plane three years ago from Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen for around €100 million.

It’s since been given a Donald-style makeover — which involves a lot of gold plating…

Take the tour.

Even the seatbelts are gold-plated…

There are screens for every seat…

There’s quite a nice guest wing (sorry, guest room)…

There’s a wood paneled galley…

A pretty nice entertainment system…

A private bedroom for ‘The Donald’ complete with family crest…

And there’s even a shower in the bathroom…

Not a bad way to travel the world.

On the other hand, Ryanair’s coming on in leaps and bounds these days.
