Drugs haul worth €1.5 million hidden in boxes labelled 'car seats' seized at Dublin Airport

The drugs originated in Asia and were destined for an address in Dublin.

A DISGUISED DRUGS haul worth more than €1.5 million has been seized by Revenue at Dublin Airport.

Roughly 78 kilograms worth of herbal cannabis was found at the airport this morning following a discovery by a Revenue sniffer dog.

The cannabis was vacuum and concealed in boxes labelled as “Car Seats”.

The cannabis, valued at approximately €1,560,000, originated in Asia and was destined for an address in Dublin.

“Investigations are ongoing,” a Revenue spokesperson said,

“If businesses, or members of the public, have any information regarding smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on 1800 295 295,” they added.
