Dublin commuters brace for weekend disruptions as Luas and Dart services halted for works

Replacement bus services will be provided for Luas commuters.

DUBLIN COMMUTERS WILL face significant disruption this weekend, as both Luas and Dart services are to be impacted by engineering works.

On the Luas Red Line, there will be no service between Tallaght/Saggart and Red Cow on Saturday and Sunday due to essential rail replacement works at Belgard Stop and the Belgard Road crossing.

Replacement buses will operate every 15 minutes between the affected stops, though services will not be able to stop at Citywest Campus. Passengers are advised to use Fortunestown instead.

Normal tram services will continue to run between Red Cow and Connolly.

Separately, Dart services will be suspended between Grand Canal Dock and Greystones over the weekend as Irish Rail carries out track works.

Trains will operate only between Malahide/Howth and Grand Canal Dock, with Dublin Bus accepting valid rail tickets on routes serving the closed stations.

Meanwhile, Luas Red Line services between Connolly and The Point remain out of action for several weeks following fire damage in the Docklands. A replacement bus is in place for this section.

Luas Green Line services are unaffected and will operate as normal.
