ONE OF THE teams from the North Strand Dublin fire brigade station were out tonight for their Christmas party and found that it’s nearly impossible to clock off completely.

B Watch travelled to Westport for their Christmas night out and one of those who made the trip described how they had to play the heroes as soon as they got down there.

In a Facebook post that’s been shared by colleagues at the Kilbarrack station, Dublin Fire Brigade’s Deidre Ní Tháillúir explains:

What a start to the B Watch No 4 Xmas party. The lads arrive to Westport, first drink at the bar and someone keels over beside them, cardiac arrest. Quick CPR, early defibrillation and pulse returned. Handed over to National Ambulance Servie, en route to hospital in Castlebar. Here’s hoping he makes a full recovery! Lucky we didn’t go to Carrick this year!!

Note: TheJournal.ie has made an effort to speak to the B Watch team in Westport. So far it’s been unsuccessful, but we think they’ve done enough work tonight anyway.
