Man in his 60s receives serious head injuries in pub attack

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the weekend assault to come forward.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses to come forward, following an attack at a pub in Dundalk at the weekend.

A man in his 60s received serious head injuries in the incident, which happened at the premises on the Castletown Road between 9pm and 10.30 on Friday night.

He was taken for treatment to our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

Investigating gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 8pm and midnight on Friday and who may have information to contact them.
