Man charged after ecstasy, cocaine and €300,000 in cash found in garda raid

The 55-year-old was arrested in Kinsealy yesterday.

A 55-YEAR-OLD man has been charged after drugs and cash were seized by gardaí during an organised raid yesterday.

Small quantities of ecstasy and cocaine were discovered in an intelligence-led operation in the Kinsealy area of north Dublin.

About €300,000 in cash was also recovered. It was made up of both Euro and Sterling currency.

The suspect appeared before the Dublin District Court this evening.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on Tuesday July 29.

Earlier today, the annual report from An Garda Síochána revealed that €32 million worth of drugs were seized in 2013.
