Biography

First entering politics in 1999 as a Dublin city councillor, he was elected to the Dáil in 2002. He was re-elected in 2007 and served as Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources from 2007 to 2011. The current leader of the Green Party, he lost his Dáil seat in the 2011 general election.

I have real experience in Government and the Dáil, and a clear vision of a more sustainable, secure future for our country.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

To provide a more stable economic and social environment.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

To help negotiate a programme for Government that steers Ireland in a green, sustainable direction.
