Biography

She ran unsuccessfully for Dublin City Council in the 2009 local elections before winning a seat in 2014. A former shop steward and a long-standing member of Sinn Féin, she is a member of the Environment Strategic Policy Committee in Dublin City Council.

I have and will continue to fight for a fairer society for the less well-off and those who have been marginalised by government policy.

Q.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Beaumont Hospital is the country\'s biggest and has been neglected for decades. I want to see serious investment in staff and facilities.

Q.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Abolish water tax and the family home tax. I would also like to - once and for all - address the inadequate childcare facilities in this country.
