Biography

Elected first as a councillor in 2004, he entered the Dáil in 2007 as a member of Fine Gael. He was re-elected in 2011 but was subsequently expelled from the party for voting against the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Bill 2013. Now a member of Renua, he is one of the party's three sitting TDs.

I am a hard-working representative who spends more time than most on the doorsteps so I know my constituents and I know what they expect from me.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

To ensure that residents in Dublin Bay North feel the real benefits of the economic recovery.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Working with my colleagues in RENUA Ireland, I would bring the needs of my constituents to the fore in the Dáil.
