Biography

Elected to Clare County Council in 1999, he was first elected to the Dáil in 2007 and was re-elected in 2011. He is the assistant government chief whip and a member of the Dáil Committee on Procedures and Privileges. He is the former Fine Gael spokesperson on juvenile justice.

Record of delivery e.g. Independence of Shannon Airport. Committed, responsible, trustworthy and want to continue to politically contribute to the Irish recovery.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Ensure correct conditions to create, sustain and grow local employment remain in place for county Clare such as the International Aviation Centre in Shannon.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Concentrate on making sure the economic recovery shifts more to rural Ireland & the regions.
