Biography

First elected to the Dáil in 1997, he has been a TD since. He is currently chairperson of the Oireachtas Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality. He is also chairperson of the working group of Committee Chairs.

Why should someone vote for you (in 140 characters or fewer)?

I have been a TD since 1997, since 2011 as part of the government that rescued our economy. If elected I intend to keep the recovery going.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Provision of special education places and improved supports and services, in particular a dedicated special school for children with autism.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Progress the Portuguese model for drug & alcohol abuse. Further develop this justice model akin to the community courts operating in the US.
