Biography

Richmond was first elected to Seanad Éireann in 2016. Within the Seanad, he is the Fine Gael spokesperson on EU Affairs and Chairman of the Brexit Committee. He is a former political advisor and project manager and was a county councillor for seven years.

Why should someone vote for you?

I have been a councillor and a Senator, I now want to take the next step and become a TD so I can continue to work hard for all the people of this country and bring a fresh dynamic to Dail Éireann that is both outward looking and progressive.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Delivering a sustainable community in terms of housing, transport, education, the environment and the economy.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Play my part in ensuring Ireland is as best prepared for the next phase of Brexit as is possible.
