Fine Gael Senator Paschal Donohoe will be hoping to win Fine Gael's first seat in Dublin Central since Jim Mitchell's election in 1997. The former sales and marketing manager came close in the constituency's 2009 by-election when he finished second to Maureen O'Sullivan with over 22 per cent of first-preference votes. Donohoe has served as a member of the Seanad since his election by the Administrative Panel in 2007.
Pascal we spoke yesterday outside my house on Clonliffe Road. Why should I vote for you? I am a bit concerned about what you might do as a party if you get a majority. You could have prevented the last Budget going through but you let FF do some of the dirty work. I dont like the U.S.C. and you said yesterday you would hold onto it. This is not a fair tax. Not sure on the 5 point plan either. What can you say to convince me.
