Councillor Michael Conaghan has been nominated by the Labour Party as one of their candidates in Dublin South-Central. The Donegal-native has represented the Ballyfermot-Clondalkin ward on Dublin City Council since 1991 and was elected as Dublin's Lord Mayor in 2004-2005. Conaghan is a teacher by profession.
