      Trainee solicitor Derek Nolan is running as a Labour candidate in Galway West. Nolan, who has been a member of the Labour Party for the past ten years, was elected to Galway City Council in 2009 as a representative for the Galway East ward. His campaign manifesto highlights job creation and political reform as two major areas which he hopes to tackle should he secure election.
