THE PRIMETIME EMMY Awards is on this evening – the Oscars of TV.
In this year’s spread of nominees, Colin Farrell and Sharon Horgan are carrying the torch for Ireland. Farrell is nominated for his role in HBO’s The Penguin while Horgan has received the nod from her show Bad Sisters.
Other big names up for awards tonight include Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett, Catherine O’Hara and Jake Gyllenhaal.
Apple TV’s Severance is leading the way with the most nominations – 27 – followed by The Penguin on 24.
