Woman in her 20s dies in single car crash

Another woman and a man were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A WOMAN IN her 20s died last night, after a road crash in Co Fermanagh.

The single car crash occurred on the Newbridge Road in Derrylin shortly before midnight.

PSNI Inspector Marie Stinton said: “Another woman and a man, also believed to be in their 20s, were taken to hospital with injuries that are believed to be serious.”

Stinton said this morning that the Newbridge Road was closed and would be “likely to remain so for some time”.

The PSNI is appealing for any witnesses to the crash, or anyone who may have information that could assist their investigation, to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 1852 07/10/17.
