This woman refused to split the bill on First Dates and all hell broke loose

Yet another brilliantly excruciating exchange.

marcelle Channel4 Channel4

MARC AND ELLE were a pair of contestants on Channel 4′s wildly addictive dating show First Dates last night – and things were going grand until the bill came.

And then things got seriously awkward.

Elle: We need to pay the bill.
Marc: Are you giving it to me?
Elle: Of course I’m giving it to you. I never pay on dates. Why would I? Come on, I’ve been hot and fun.

The discussion went on for an excruciating couple of minutes more. The bill was £136.69, and Elle did agree to give Marc £30 for the date by the end.

But otherwise, the majority of people thought it should have been a 50/50 split
