WHETHER YOU WANT more room for guests, space for a growing family or the potential for a study or office, choosing a five bedroom home is a smart move.
But what’s on the market right now? This week, we’ve rounded up four five-bedroom homes all within an hour of Dublin city centre.
Read on to see what’s out there…
Located in a quiet cul de sac of six detached properties, 5 Ullardmor measures 2,152 sq ft. Overlooking a private green, Dalkey Town and Dublin Bay, this well-positioned property also boats beautiful views of Howth Head. Upon entering the home via a porch, a spacious living/dining room sits to the left. A doorway leads from here to the bright kitchen, which opens to the southwest facing rear garden. Completing the first floor is a spacious study/bedroom, a double bedroom and shower room.
Upstairs, there are three generous bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom features an en-suite bathroom and sea views that will no doubt make it easier to get out of bed in the morning. Three of the five bedrooms include fitted wardrobes to maximise storage space. A quick stroll will bring you to the vibrant town of Dalkey, while bus and DART services provide access to the city centre. Several schools are also nearby.
It’s on the market for €950,000.
Sitting on half an acre of landscaped gardens, this Rathcoole bungalow has five bedrooms, four bathrooms and two kitchens. On the ground floor, the master bathroom features a luxurious Jacuzzi bath and double shower – perfect for relaxing after a long day.
To the right of the home is a detached two-floor garage with a toilet, hand wash basin and central heating boiler. Located a short distance off the Kilteel Road, the property is just a few minutes drive to Rathcoole village and local amenities. Primary and secondary schools, as well as the Luas stop in Saggart village, are just a short drive away.
If a new development located within a 30-minute drive of Dublin city piques your interest, Hollywoodrath might just be the place for you. This five-bedroom detached home has a stunning archway entry, with private parking space in the front garden. The ground floor comprises of a bathroom, study, living room and large utility room. A generous open plan kitchen and dining room with double doors leading to the back garden complete this floor.
Upstairs, the master bedroom features an en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe, which the fashion and shopping-lovers among us are sure to appreciate. Bedroom three includes a second en-suite bathroom, while a family bathroom is also on this floor. Hollywoodrath is adjacent to Hollystown and just north of Blanchardstown, with easy access to all main routes to the city.
Just a ten minute drive from Malahide Village, Three Roses is a charming dormer red-brick bungalow. Upon entering the reception hall, which features hard wood flooring and coving on the ceiling, the living room is to the right. To the left is the downstairs bedroom, complete with en-suite bathroom, while the light-filled open plan kitchen and dining room is to the rear.
The remaining four bedrooms are upstairs. The sweeping back garden and decking space means there’s plenty of space for outdoor entertaining. Access to the M1 and M50 motorways make commuting by car easy, while Portmarnock DART station is less than a 10 minute drive away.
