A NUMBER OF flights due to land at Dublin Airport have been delayed and diverted because of strong, gusty winds.

DAA has advised passengers to check their departure times with airlines ahead of travelling.

“A number of flights have been diverted to Shannon and Belfast due to severe gusty winds at Dublin. Passengers advised to check their airline,” it advised.

The severe winds are impacting many flights from a variety of destinations.

Across the water, problems with landing at Gatwick Airport have also led to diversions elsewhere in Europe.
