Four men arrested in connection with criminal damage incidents in Co Mayo

Windows were broken at a number of houses in Westport and Newport on Sunday.

FOUR MEN HAVE been arrested as part of an investigation into a number of criminal damage incidents in Co Mayo.

Gardaí said the incidents involved the breaking of windows at houses in Westport and Newport on Sunday. 

Two of the arrested males are aged in their 20s, with the other two aged in their late teens. 

All four are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Garda stations in Co Mayo.

Investigations are ongoing.
