This Galway pub turned itself into the GPO for the weekend’s celebrations
Excellent.
SO MANY PEOPLE did their bit to commemorate the centenary of 1916 over the weekend- with the tributes ranging from the touching to the artistic.
One pub in county Galway thought they would pay their own respects too – by brilliantly turning themselves into the GPO for the Easter weekend:
Iain MacLaren took the shots and told DailyEdge.ie that it’s Peg’s Pub in Collinamuck, Galway – and they did a decent job of recreating the GPO out west for one weekend only.
They went all out with the tricolours along the road as well
It was quite the transformation from its normal look
Fine work for such a special weekend.
