Cocaine worth €1.5 million seized in south Dublin

The drugs were discovered as part of a planned search by specialist officers.

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED 22kgs of cocaine valued at €1.5 million in a raid on a property in Rathmines, Dublin this morning.

The drugs were seized following the planned search of a property on the Rathmines Road at around 10am.

Gardaí said a man in his mid 20s was arrested at the scene and is currently being questioned at Rathmines garda station under section 2 of the Criminal Justice  Act, 1996.

Officers said investigations are ongoing.
