Irish publications have now been added to Google Play Newsstand alongside international content.

THOSE WHO USE Google Play Newsstand on either iOS and Android will now be able to read TheJournal.ie, DailyEdge.ie and The42.ie directly through the service.

It has added Irish magazines and newspapers to its list of publications today, meaning you can catch up on local stories from TheJournal.ie or subscribe to international publications like the Financial Times, Wired and The New York Times.

Google Play Newsstand allows you to group together both free and paid subscriptions, and claims to feature thousands of publications.

It is even able to recommend stories based on what you read and view, and gives you the opportunity to bookmark or save articles offline for future reading.

You can also purchase subscriptions for magazines as well, or pay for individual issues.
