Poll: Which of these dogs should win the Great Irish Bark Off for April?

Which of these dogs has won your heart?

WHEN IT COMES to dogs, the real winners are those of us who get to admire them.

However, in the Great Irish Bark Off sponsored by Allianz, we need you, our readers, to help us pick between three wonderful doggos each month. Last edition’s worthy, woofing winner was Archie, and now three others have the chance to win the admiration and adoration of thousands of The Journal readers.

The winner of this poll will receive a €30 voucher for Irish pet shop pets.ie, in addition to the undying love of every reader who gets the chance to behold them.

We’ve got a wonderful selection of dogs for you to choose from this month, and we certainly don’t envy you making this very important decision. We know it’s hard to choose, but give it your best shot.

Toby

Toby is a five-year-old Jack Russell and loves nothing more than a walk on the beach. Here he is riding the DART and looking out the window, patiently anticipating his stop. While he appears to be incredibly focused here, we have seen other photos of his silly side — sadly we had to choose only one.

Minnie

Minnie

Minnie is a 13-year-old cocker spaniel from Wicklow who is well-known throughout her town. She was submitted by Conn, who himself is just eight years old, and wants everyone to know that Minnie is a very gentle dog who only barks at birds and people knocking at the door. Her favourite hobby is stealing bones from her family’s dinner and burying them in the back garden.

Wilbur

Wilbur is a sassy shih tzu whose owner describes him as ‘full of personality and mischief’. You will either find him stealing your socks, playing with his favourite ball, or cuddled up on his human’s lap, demanding attention.

It might be the toughest choice you make today, but who has your vote for April’s Great Irish Bark Off dog of the month?

Poll Results:

Toby (1)
Minnie (1)
Wilbur (1)

To take part in next month’s poll and be in with a chance to win a prize for you and your dog, submit a picture of your doggo by emailing competitions@thejournal.ie with the subject line ‘Bark Off’. Be sure to include your dog’s name, age, photo and a description of their personality and hobbies.
