A YOUNG MAN has been killed in a road crash in west Dublin.
The collision between two motorcyclists occurred on Hartstown Road at 6.5opm yesterday.
One man in his early 20s was taken to Connolly Hospital where he died a short time later. He is the 16th motorcyclist to die on Irish roads this year.
The second motorcyclist, a man also in his early 20s, was uninjured.
The Hartstown Road was closed yesterday evening for a forensic collision investigation.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to contact them at Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 6667000, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any garda station.
