Gardaí want your help investigating a serious hit and run incident in Dublin

The victim is still recovering in hospital.

GARDAÍ THIS EVENING launched an appeal for witnesses after a hit and run incident in Raheny, north Dublin, which left a man with serious injuries.

At around 10.30 pm last Saturday night a vehicle hit a 30-year-old man outside the Church of Our Lady in Raheny, Dublin 5.

Rather than stopping, the motorist drove away down the Howth Road, leaving the victim with serious, though not life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to Beaumont Hospital, where he remains.

Gardaí are asking witnesses, or anyone with information, to call Raheny Garda station on 01-666-4300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111, or contact any Garda station.

Investigators are particularly keen to speak with anyone who was in the vicinity of Raheny village between 10.10 and 10.45 pm on Saturday, 11 October.
