WITH MANY OF us spending more time at home than ever this year, we’ve come to truly appreciate the value of extra space, such as a detached garage which could be used as an ideal home office.
This week we’re looking at four properties around the country with detached garages – from a beautiful home in Co Donegal to a four-bed in a private development in Co Sligo.
Located on a secluded site via a sloping driveway in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, this four-bed property offers more than meets the eye. Upon first impression, it looks as if it’s a neat bungalow. However, once you step around to the back, it presents itself as a two-storey home with a beautiful curved balcony.
The 2,378 sq ft residence is located on one acre of landscaped grounds, which include beautiful paved patio areas, mature shrubbery, a large lawn area and a detached double garage. Inside, the accommodation feels both spacious and welcoming, while luxury features add a sense of grandeur.
A four-bed property, 14 Ardmore Hills offers a spacious and unique interior. It features three reception rooms and a mixture of classical and contemporary decor throughout. There’s a mixture of marble floors and solid timber flooring on the ground floor, with laminate floors in the bedrooms.
Located on a corner site, there’s off-street parking and a small lawn to the front, with a patio, lawn area and detached garage to the rear. The centre of Mullingar town is a five-minute drive (or 30-minute walk) away.
Built in 2001, this four-bed property boasts a beautiful interior and exterior. Located on 1.7 acres, the house is approached via a tree-lined avenue with paddocks either side and a large double garage with stables to the rear.
Measuring 3,014 sq ft, the accommodation is beautifully decorated in a country style, with features including a hand-carved staircase, bay windows, a bespoke solid wood kitchen and a walk-in wardrobe in the master bedroom. Kilcock town is a five-minute drive away, while Junction 8 of the M4 can be reached in less than that.
Tucked away within a small private development, this four-bed property enjoys both privacy and convenience. Located on just less than an acre, manicured grounds surround the house, with a water fountain to the front and a detached garage to the side. Both Tubbercurry Golf Club and the heart of the town are a 10-minute walk away.
Inside, the accommodation is bright and spacious. The ground floor comprises two reception rooms, a large conservatory, an open-plan kitchen and dining area, a utility room and a guest bathroom. On the first floor, there are four bedrooms, three en-suite bathrooms and the family bathroom.
