Gardaí are investigating the incident at Marigold Park in Darndale.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING the cause of a fire that spread to three houses in an estate in north Dublin this evening.

A spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade said they received several calls from the public of a house on fire in the Marigold Park neighbourhood of Darndale, Dublin 17, just after 7 pm.

Four units of the fire brigade were called to the scene where the fire had spread to two neighbouring homes, and is understood to have caused some damage to them.

However, firefighters were able to get the blaze under control by just before 8pm.

It was initially reported that a person may have still been inside the building while it was on fire, but the spokesperson confirmed that there were no injuries, and that all residents had been accounted for.

It is not yet known what caused the fire to break out, and Gardaí are investigating the incident.
