THE WEATHER IN Ireland may not always suit lighting up the barbecue, but when the temperatures rise there’s no better feeling than dusting off the garden table and chairs and sitting outdoors.
Today, we’re looking at a selection of family homes with large outdoor spaces for entertaining when the sun comes out. Even if it only comes out for a day or two.
From Galway to Dublin, read on to see a selection of properties that match this description on the market right now…
Located just a four-minute drive from Gorey town, this four-bedroom property comes to the market with all contents included. The detached house boasts a number of high quality features both inside and outside, including a detached garage which has been converted into a two-bedroom bungalow.
Inside, there are white oak timber floors, natural brick walls and a spacious kitchen with a centre island. What’s outside is most impressive, however, with built-in seating, a fireplace, barbecue and bar area. The decking wraps around the property and features a sheltered sunbathing area, with sweeping views of the surrounding countryside.
Built in 1934, 109 Jamestown Road is a two-bed bungalow that has been carefully renovated in recent years. The semi-detached home comprises an entrance hallway, large living room and high gloss kitchen. The kitchen comes with fully fitted units and new appliances.
To the rear of the property, there’s a 100ft-long garden with a bar, marquee and furniture. No 109 is within walking distance of Finglas village, with multiple primary and secondary schools nearby. Dublin Bus routes provide easy access to the city centre, while the drive will take about 25 minutes.

Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, an en-suite bathroom, a walk-in wardrobe and a family bathroom. Outside, there’s parking space for several cars at the front of the property, while the rear garden is west-facing and features a lawn, paved patio area and built-in barbecue. No 32 is within walking distance of several primary and secondary schools, with multiple bus routes making it easy to reach the heart of the capital quickly.

The family home features ample space to unwind and entertain, with a living room, dining room, open plan kitchen/living/dining area and a conservatory.
The rear garden boasts a paved seating area for hosting barbecues, while there’s also plenty of space for younger members of the family to run around. A detached garage provides extra storage space.
