Irish companies sign French deals worth €13m

Agri contracts agreed for Irish companies Dromone, Samco and Dairymaster.

THREE IRISH COMPANIES have announced new French contracts valued at €12.9 million, including a major agricultural manufacturing deal.

Co Meath company Dromone, which designs and manufacturers coupling technology for the agri and construction markets, has secured a €9.7 million contract with France’s largest exporter of agri products, the AGCO Group.

A Tralee company, Dairymaster, has agreed an exclusive deal with Genes Diffusion, which uses biomolecular technology in its provision of breeding facilities. The deal will reportedly deliver €3 million in initial sales and allow the Irish company to deliver its dairy equipment with a high quality fertility management system.

Samco, which is also involved in agricultural manufacturing, signed a new €200,000 contract with French coop Cavac.

The deal sees Cavac become the sole distributor of the Limerick company’s machines and degradable plastic film for the western French region of Vendée.

The three deals were announced today by Enterprise Minister Richard Bruton, who is currently on a three-day trade mission to France.

“These are significant contract wins for ambitious outward-focused Irish firms and clearly demonstrate Ireland’s international reputation as a source of high quality products in the agri-technology sector,” the minister said in the announcement.

Representatives from 36 Irish companies are also attending the trade mission, which was organised by Enterprise Ireland to boost Ireland’s trade with France.
