The image was taken by the child’s mother, Angela, and shared on social media by the US fertility clinic she used.

“Wow, what a picture,” Sher Institutes said in a post accompanying the photo, which has been shared close to 5,000 times since Monday.

Thank you to… Angela, who shows the true definition of love that went into making this gorgeous new baby girl.

The baby’s mother, who has been through multiple IVF cycles over the past year and a half, told ABC News that the injections were the least of her worries as she struggled to conceive.

“The needles were the easy part. It was the emotional struggle, the ups and downs, that really took a toll,” she said.

I’m single and waited a long time for a husband to come. And then by that time it was difficult to get pregnant.

The photo has sparked an outpouring of heartfelt messages from other parents who have conceived through IVF.

“What a powerful message and reminder [of] the daily struggle. It was worth every single shot for my two babies,” said one woman, who shared an image of her young son and daughter.

Another wrote: “Didn’t even tell my husband what this was, just handed him the phone. I saw tears form in his eyes as he probably also went through the memories of countless nights, over our four year journey, that he gave me shots.”
