Man in his 50s dies after his minibus leaves the road

Four passengers were uninjured.

A 52-YEAR-OLD man has died following a single vehicle collision in Co. Kerry.

The collision occurred at around 3.20pm on the N86 between Ballintaggart and Dingle.

The man was injured when the minibus he was driving left the road and struck a ditch. Four passengers travelling in the minibus at the time were uninjured.

The man was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry where he was later pronounced dead.

The local coroner has been notified and Garda forensic collision investigators are currently at the scene. Local traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Tralee Garda Station 066-7102300 or the Garda confidential line 1800 666 111.
