Fraudsters in Kerry are using condoms and razor blades as part of a scam

Gardaí are warning shop owners to be on the lookout.

GARDAÍ IN KERRY say they are seeking help in catching a group of men who have been using lighters, razor blades and condoms as part of a scam.

Radio Kerry say that the men have been calling into shops in the Killarney area and telling staff that their manager had ordered a delivery of stock from them.

They have sought cash on delivery and have then handed the bogus orders to staff.

Gardaí say some of the items handed over include lighters, razor blades and condoms.

A gold Opel Vectra is thought to be involved in the scam and gardaí are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity.
