Investigation under way after work-related death in Leitrim

It’s believed the man was crushed to death while he towed a trailer on a rural road.

THE HEALTH AND Safety Authority and gardaí are investigating, following the work-related death of a man in Co Leitrim on Saturday evening.

The man – aged in his sixties - was towing a trailer in the Aughnasheelin area when he died.

It’s believed he was crushed to death between his vehicle and the trailer.

Gardaí confirmed the incident happened at around 6.30pm on Saturday.
